Design and Analysis of Dual-Core D-Shape Photonic Crystal Fiber Biosensor

In this paper, a simple D-shape photonic crystal fiber (PCF) plasmonic biosensor is proposed and analyzed. The sensor performance is investigated by applying a mode solver based finite element method (FEM). The sensing layer and plasmonic metal (gold) layer both are deposited on the external upper plane surface for comfortable and easy fabrication.
