Application of a Hierarchical Approach for Determining an Individual Study Trajectory

The article describes a hierarchical approach to e-learning. The presented model describes the structure of the e-learning content module, ensuring didactic completeness of the e-learning courses being developed. The article contains an overview of multiple approaches to storing hierarchical structures in relational databases, with the intention of improving the efficiency of the system, which uses the aforementioned model. A short description of a system, which supports the hierarchical approach, is presented. In addition, the custom training approach, which does not conflict with the described model and can be used in distance learning, is presented.
