Estimation of Induced Voltage on the Dead Overhead Power Line caused by Electromagnetic Influence of the 25 kV AC Electric Railway System

A significant problem of 25 kV AC electric railway system is the strong electromagnetic influence expose on the telecommunication lines those including on closely-spaced the transmission lines. It is convenient to consider the electromagnetic influence of traction network as the magnetic and electric components singly. The first component is due to presence of the electric field in space surrounding 27.5 kV contact network. The second component is determined by presence of the magnetic field induced with the flow of alternating current in traction network. The values of induced voltages are directly proportional to the values of currents in the traction network and the length of section on which power transmission line located along the railway track. This article is devoted to the estimation of induced voltage on the tripped 110 kV power line caused by the electromagnetic influence of traction network of single-track railway. The calculations were performed for various grounding variations of the line, taking into account the change in locomotive location on the railway track. For this aim EMTP-ATP software was used which is allows you to simulate the power lines and the traction networks using their physical parameters taking into account changes the mutual arrangement of geometry.
