Design, Development and Parametric Analysis of Dual Polarized Antenna with High Isolation, Low Cross Polarization, High Gain for X-Band Applications

In this literature, parametric analysis of dual-polarized Edge feed aperture coupled antenna with high isolation and High Gain at X-band is presented. The design is composed of micro strip rectangular patch with slot on the ground is fed by a two orthogonal microstrip lines. Dual polarized antenna is implemented on RT Duroid 5880 & 6010 substrate. The various parametric analysis of the aperture coupled antenna is characterized using 3D EM Simulation software and single antenna element is fabricated and tested. Measured results show that S

) between the two ports is better than -32 dB at the entire X-band. In addition, the cross-polarized discrimination is better than -45dB, with the gain of 9.15dBi. There is a very good agreement between simulation and measured results.
