Performance Analysis of PolSK MIMO -FSO over Strong Atmospheric Turbulence Conditions

This paper analyzes the performance of Multiple Input Multiple Output -Free Space Optical systemsover strong atmospheric turbulences. The diversity techniqueis used to mitigate the turbulence, major performancedegrading factor. Malaga turbulence model with pointingerrors is assumed to describe the characteristics of the channel.PolSK modulation scheme is considered for simulation and the performance is evaluated based on BER and high SNR. The performance of the system is analyzed under different weatherconditions such as rain and fog.
