Abstract:

This paper investigates the use of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to an antenna system to minimize an output power. The antenna system consists of a 2×2 antenna array and phase shifters which are controlled by a microcontroller. PSO algorithm is implemented to choose the best setup of the four phase shifters to null the high-power signals (jammers) and allow reception of the desired signals.
