Abstract:

Information and communication technologies (ICTs) have always been the trigger for innovation and economic growth; it gives to those with access to connectivity the opportunity to develop innovative services across multiple key-sectors such as health, education and agriculture. Unfortunately, people in rural and underserved areas have hardly benefited from all these new opportunities mostly because of the lack of connectivity which is key-factor behind under-development of those sectors. This paper propose a vision to remediate to this by representing a sustainable connectivity solution over Name d-Data Networking (NDN) which permits to people in rural and underserved areas to totally enjoy the opportunitie s brought by ICTs. Also it presents a review of the techniques that can enable discontinuity on the network links, tolerance for delays and Mobility due to our DHCPN. Moreover, it will give the opportunity to see an architecture that brings together low cost devices and future internet technologies to bring connectivity to the most remote areas.
