Motor test bench control for load profile emulation

Load changes studies are an important issue regarding to electric machines due to its industry call. Regarding to this matter setting up a motor test bench in such a way that load profiles may be reproduced is a handy tool. For such purpose a torque control strategy is necessary for the load emulation motor, while the motor under test is control free. Within this context, this work investigates the torque control in a cascade strategy with the speed controller in an asynchronous arrangement, i. e., control signal from the torque controller is the speed reference of an inner speed control loop.
