Professional Development for Online Post-secondary Faculty

Post-secondary faculty members teaching online can benefit from professional development in the form of workshops, one-on-one consultations, peer-to-peer mentoring, and other formal and informal training opportunities. Building on evidence around faculty preference and insight, a proposal is made for a competency based professional development course that guides faculty through an application-and task-based series of activities to create or accelerate an online course in an international context.
