Direct Torque Control of Hybrid Excitation Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

According to the characteristics of hybrid excitation permanent magnet synchronous motor (HEPMSM), a direct torque control (DTC) strategy of the HEPMSM is proposed. This control strategy firstly calculates the electromagnetic torque and the stator flux under different excitation current and stator current conditions, and obtains the relationship curve between maximum torque and excitation current, as well as the relationship curve between electromagnetic torque and stator flux for different excitation current. According to the output electromagnetic torque of the torque regulator, the corresponding reference values of excitation current and stator flux linkage are obtained by inquiring the above curve, which control the electromagnetic torque, stator flux and excitation current of the HEPMSM. A fast terminal sliding mode (FTSM) torque controller is designed to improve the robustness and rapidity of DTC system. Based on MATLAB/Simulink, the control system performance of the HEPMSM is simulated. The simulation analysis is performed for the starting, sudden increase and sudden decrease, and the correctness of the direct control strategy is verified.
