Indoor Fire Simulation with Avoidance Path Planning

Nowadays, the use of simulation is increasing widely because there is a high benefit comparing against it cost. Less physical space as well as other resources are needed in comparison with real scenarios. In addition, risks are avoided in dangerous environments. One example of these risk scenarios are buildings in flames. At this moment there exist different outdoor fire simulators, even, there exist a few simulators for fire in indoor scenarios. Although there exist different conditions that can not be controlled in all aspects and these conditions influence directly in the fires, an indoor fire can be simulated in a kind realistic way, showing rescue teams some of the propagation patterns and reducing risks at same time. In this work, an indoor fire simulator has been created to generate the propagation matrix for each one of the propagation steps. This matrix can be used later to test other algorithms such as explaining fire behavior or avoiding the fire trajectory.
