Vertical Spin-Wave Transport in Magnonic Waveguides With Broken Translation Symmetry

We model a simple building block of three-dimensional (3-D) magnonic network in the form of joined orthogonal sections of magnonic waveguides. The 3-D structure allows the transmission of spin-wave signals as surface magnetostatic wave propagating without significant losses in the junction region. Micromagnetic simulation suggests a mechanism of spin-wave propagation across the junctions. It was demonstrated that the spin-wave waveguiding 3-D structure with broken translational symmetry, exploiting the vertical spin-wave transport provides the transmission of the information signal in 3-D configuration of magnonic networks.
