Effective CH4 and C2H5OH Gas Sensor Created on the Basis of Three-Dimensional Zno Nanosystems

Structural and morphological features of ZnO nanosystems in the form of three-dimensional network structures have been investigated. Current-voltage characteristics (IV) together with other charge transfer parameters of ZnO fractal-percolation nanosystems have been studied both in air and in vacuum at different temperatures and rates of voltage change. The charge transfer regularities provide evidence about RaiCai chains presence in the nanosystems. The chain formation is determined by the fact that the Debye screening length has the same order of magnitude as the local values of ZnO nanowires radii. The results of gas sensor tests performed based on IV characteristics have shown a possibility of distinguishing such reducing gases as CH
₄
or C
₂
H
₅
OH.
