Study on the Domestic Freight Sharing Rate of China Railway Express Considering the Impact of Maritime Transport

The “Belt and Road” Initiative has received wide social attention. As the main land carrier, China Railway Express still have a quantity of problems to solve. Based on the survey of development status of China Railway Express, this paper obtains the influencing factors, including political factors, technical factors, transportation network layout and transportation capacity, and market price factors. The paper uses cases to predict the theoretical freight sharing rate of some key lines compared with maritime transport, which is derived from the economic characteristics, technical characteristics and service characteristics of this freight mode. The results show that there is a big gap in the freight sharing rate of China Railway Express in different routes. However, in general, China Railway Express has shown certain competitive advantages and capabilities.
