Implementation of Computer-Based Test in a Countrywide New Student Recruitment Process

In order to increase the efficiency and the transparency of the process of various tests, the use of the computer system in a test has been introduced for quite a long time. Several studies have been published but most of them are about the effectiveness of using the computer compared to the paper-and-pencil based test and also about its methodology. This paper provides a report of the implementation of a computer-based test in a countrywide new student recruitment process from the software engineering perspective. This paper describes the real-world software engineering practice in a computer-based system of how to fulfill the stakeholders requirements and shares the challenges to implementing the system in an environment with geographical constraints and limited resources without compromising quality, cost, and delivery of the developed system.
