Analyzing Dna Sequence in Liver Diseases by Using Bioinformatic Computations

Liver cancer that appeared on cirrhosis level in our country, is among the top five most common cancer types in the world and also it is the third in the cancers causing death. In addition to being widely seen in society, because of its the most common type Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) patients have very low survival probabilities except for organ transplant, importance of researches conducted to determination and analysis of molecular structures and protein interactions involved in the initiation and progression of HCC, has increased. In this study; differentially expressed genes and protein-protein interaction network were analyzed using microarray data obtained from 10 HCC patients' with 10 normal individuals' liver tissue samples and 17 HCC patients' with 20 cirrhosis patients' liver tissue samples. As a result of bioinformatics analysis done, meaningful changes at the level of expressions of the 12 genes which detected to play a key role in the initiation and progression of significant liver diseases. This situtation shows that it is becoming more difficult to fulfill the functions of the proteins encoded by these genes involved in processes such as cell division, proteolysis, nuclear division, DNA damage response and lipid metabolism regulation.
