Perspectives for Appliance and Accuracy Improvement of Coordinate Measurements with Laser Technique

This paper describes some practical problems of coordinates measuring concerning both linear and angular measurements. The trade-off between the measuring accuracy and maximum range was pointed out as a central issue in Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) inspection. The opportunity for online measurements for manufacturing industries has also been described. An implementation of the advanced commercial measuring system in relation to GD&T has been demonstrated in this work.
