A Comparison of 6-bit Non-universal Switching Schemes for Unary DACs

This paper is devoted to a systematic error compensation in unary digital-to-analog converters. The compensation is achieved by a special switching order of weighting elements – a switching scheme. An overview of several recently published 6-bit non-universal switching schemes is presented. A simulation of integral nonlinearity is done to estimate efficiency of each switching scheme. A comparison shows that switching scheme "Xueqing Li" is the most effective in all test conditions.
