0.040 rad(Si)/s total dose testing of Renesas parts proposed for the Europa Clipper mission

We report the results of collaborative total ionizing dose (TID) radiation testing carried out by Renesas Electronics America (‘Renesas’) and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (‘JPL’) in support of the Europa Clipper program. The program investigated the TID response of seven Renesas part types as listed in Table 1. The low dose rate of 0.040 rad(Si)/s and the total dose of 300 krad(Si) are specific to the Europa Clipper radiation requirements.
