Real-time Power Supply Service Monitoring in Industrial Electric Power Distribution Grid

The main goal of the paper is focused on a nowadays important aspect of the power quality, namely the power supply service that can be improved through distributed monitoring by a complementary system based on current popular communication technologies such as mobile data communications. Mainly, the work proposes a method to enhance the functionality of an existing smart metering system on improving the power supply service through real-time monitoring and through additional signal processing in order to get information about the state of the power supply and eventually supplemental extended characterization on fault occurrences.
