Non-Repeatable Clone-Resistant Group Device Identity

The emerging network technologies are deploying powerful smart-devices and at the same time result with more open environment operational threats. The need for a highly secure robust biology-like device identity is growing day after day. In particular, a new operational scenario for building secured link between a group of units with solid unclonable-identity in the sense that no physical unit within the group can be replaced by anybody including the system creator. We propose a technology for creating a group of units/devices having a common unclonable identity in addition to a device-individual own unclonable identity without any later possibility to increase the number of devices and their identities. This is a very valuable scenario for future cloud/fog networks. In this paper, a single-event unclonable group creation-technology is presented. The key idea is in creating two secret unknown ciphers (SUCs) in each device in a distinct group of devices. The first identity is SUC

is individual and unique in each individual unit i. After creating these two identities, no possibility, whatever would allow any identity-change or extension in the number of group’s devices and their individual identities. This is equivalent to the group of the biological family siblings which are unclonable and not extendible of one of the parents is dead. Generic use protocols are introduced, and a sample use-case demonstrates the use of such technology.
