A New Radiospectrometer to Study the CMB Distortions between 10–20 GHz

The Tenerife Microwave Spectrometer (TMS) is a ground-based instrument designed to map and measure the spectrum of the Cosmic Microwave Background from frequencies 10 to 20 GHz. TMS uses a symmetric design conceived to enhance the sensitivity and reduce systematic errors. Commercial models with such an ultra-broad operational frequency range are not available and so, most of the subsystems are to be designed and custom-made.
