Adaptive Learning System in Automotive Software Engineering

Automotive Software Engineering is a special topic of computer science. To develop different functions for a car model, many small computers, called embedded systems need to be developed and placed in the car. The software part of embedded systems can be distinguished into operating system and application. To enable the reuse of applications - especially for different models providing same functionality with different hardware - the system architecture AUTOSAR has been defined by a specialized consortium. Thereby, software engineers have to learn and update their knowledge regarding thousands of parameters and functionality continuously. In this paper, we provide an approach for an Adaptive Learning System, which supports learners in Automotive Software Engineering. Our Adaptive Learning System classifies the knowledge of learners into different levels. According to the current level of the learner the information and level of details are adapted.
