Smart Android Application using Self-Destructive Identities against Cyber Harassment

Smartphones have penetrated in the modern world during the last decade and have strongly influenced both personal and social life. They have not only become an indispensable part during daily human activities, but they are also accompanied by a huge and continuously growing number of services, connecting them with everyone, everything, and everywhere, realizing the IoT. Nevertheless, this phenomenal growth has also introduced new problems, such as mobile cyber harassment, which seems to get out of control. This paper presents a solution towards throttling cyber harassment, realized by spam messages and unwanted calls from third parties. A novel smart application has been developed and already successfully evaluated, that uses self-destructing identities to enhance users' privacy during their daily communications.
