Stability Estimation of a Sample Size for Interannual Monitoring Using Micro Satellites

This paper describes a stability estimation of sample size for interannual monitoring using micro satellite Planet Scope. Sample size is a number of training data needed for an estimation model building. In order to put into practical use of micro satellite operated many sensors over the years, it is necessary to extract stable information of ground objects, even if those data were obtained from different sensors and years. In this study, humus content, which is an important factor for agriculture, was estimated by multi linear regression model adapted PlanetScope and field data in 2018. An estimation model was built with 9 samples which are three times of the number of bands. As a result of applying the estimation model in 2018 to the Planet Scope imagery in 2017, an estimation model could be constructed by the same sample size. This study achieved to evaluate the stable sample size for humus content over the past two years.
