Control of three-phase four-wire SSI DSTATCOM integrated to PV generation system

Hybrid systems play an important role in standalone power generation mainly due its flexibility and reliability. Integration of different generation sources can require various converter topologies. This paper proposes a control strategy for hybrid hydro-PV generation system employing a three-phase four-wire Split-Source Inverter (SSI). The SSI has the ability to feed ac loads with boost characteristic employing reduced switch count. In addition, the proposed control strategy ensures balanced output ac voltages under unbalanced loads providing the required active and reactive power. Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the good performance of the proposed control strategy under balanced and unbalanced linear loads.
