SST Topology Based on the LLC Resonant Converter and Output Voltage Control by Auxiliary Module

This paper presents a bidirectional SST topology proposal without DC-Link which can control the output RMS voltage value. It is composed by two modules, the first will process most of the power and the other will process less but it will be responsible for the voltage control. The galvanic isolation of both modules is realized by the LLC Resonant Converter which works at constant frequency and with soft-switching. Furthermore theoretical analysis, design method, control strategy, simulation and experimental results are presented in this paper. Moreover as it is constituted by known converters, their design details will not be discussed.
