Preliminary Economic Assessment for Electric Buses Adoption in the Italian Framework

According to many national and international directives in term of environment and air quality protection, nowadays in Europe many cities' public administrations are considering the adoption of electric buses for the public transport service. In Italy, there are already significant examples of this phenomenon. The main aim of the paper consists in providing a preliminary economic assessment for the adoption of electric buses, considering the whole economic aspect in comparison with similar vehicles based on traditional propulsion systems.
