Approximation of Reflectarray Cross-Polarization Response Using A Hybrid FEM-PO Method

This paper presents a scheme to approximate the cross-polarization response of a reflectarray antenna using a simple, hybrid finite element-physical optics (FEM-PO) method. Surface currents are solved on a unit cell with periodic boundary conditions using FEM for a single case and applied throughout the aperture surface. These currents are used in a PO calculation to obtain the cross-polarization far fields of the antenna.
