Additively-Manufactured Cylindrical Array with Snap-fit Connector Integration

Recent improvements to the resolution and surface roughness of additive manufacturing have made this technology an enticing method for fabricating antennas. Challenges including connector integration have kept additive manufacturing from being widely used for antenna fabrication. In this paper, a novel solderless snap-on connector backplane concept is demonstrated.
