Multi-user Communication by Electromagnetic Vortex Based on Time Modulated Array

A novel method for multi-user communication based on time modulated array (TMA) has been proposed. The system generates vortex waves with different modes by periodical switching in a uniform circular array (UCA). Information from different users is sent and received through different modes. This method can improve the frequency efficiency in the future 5G communication. Simulation proves that different modes of vortex waves can be generated by periodically switching.
