A Generalized Technique to Accurately Predict Conformal Antenna Arrays

The purpose of this paper is model the array performance of an array of open waveguide antennas. In order to improve the prediction of the array pattern, a new equation with four coefficients was used to model each single element H-plane pattern. The four coefficients were related to known characteristics of each array fixture characterized used in the measurements in order to create four, stand alone equations. These equations are applied to the modified H-plane model and used to predict the performance of a conformal array H-plane pattern.
