Abstract:

The non-Foster matching using negative impedance converters (NICs) circuit enhances the available bandwidth of small antennas due to their non-Foster behavior of reactance. However, since a NIC is connected in series between the antenna and the power source, it is necessary to reduce the real part of input impedance of NIC not to consume the input power. In this research, we reduced the real part of input impedance of NIC using an operational amplifier (op-amp) and improved stability.
