Shielding Failure Trip-out Rate algorithm based on Improved EGM transmission line

In order to take into the accuracy and engineering practicability of the transmission line shielding failure trip-out rate, the three factors of terrain inclination, high-altitude wind speed and lightning leader angle are introduced, and the method of improving the traditional electrical geometry model is proposed. Based on the traditional electrical geometry model, the coordinate system of the line tower on the top of the mountain, the hillside, and the line climbing erection condition is constructed based on the analysis of the geometrical positional changes of the spatial position between the conductor and the ground wind and the ground plane. Through the coordinate rotation, the equations of maximum hitting distance, exposed arc and shielding failure trip-out rate under the influence of multi-parameters are deduced. The algorithm for solving the multi-parameter shielding failure trip-out rate is proposed. The proposed algorithm is verified by taking the US 345kV transmission line as an example. The results show that the error is reduced by 56.15% compared with the traditional algorithm.
