Abstract:

Logistics growth is increasing rapidly; there are modern and smart logistics. Food logistics from horticultural products is a dominant activity. The main problem is the characteristics of horticultural products that are perishable and very sensitive to climate change, so good logistics handling is needed. Besides that, food security is a global issue in food horticulture. Different food availability in each region causes price disparity and decreased customer satisfaction. Traceability consists of tracking and tracing is a method that can be used in Horticultural Food Security, but usually there are still problems, so that it requires other alternatives. Spatial research is currently increasing. Spatial data can be used for traceability. This combination of traceability and spatial technology is expected to solve the problems of horticultural food security. Decision making in planning, harvesting and shipping must be appropriate. Spatial-based tracking and tracing can help decision makers in food security issues. But sometimes decisions require a long time, so technology is needed that can help in making decisions quickly, precisely and accurately, namely business intelligent. Intelligent spatial logistics DSS for tracking and tracing in this study can solve horticultural food security problems, good product distribution, determine fair prices and will increase customer satisfaction.
