Analysis and Design of a Novel Microstrip Filter for C - Band Applications

Microwave filters are circuits which process the signal, predominantly to eliminate undesired frequency from the signal, and allow the required ones. Electronic filters can be Analog or digital (depends on input signal) High-pass, Lowpass, Band-pass, Band-stop (depends on frequency). Microstrip is a category of electrical transmission line which utilizes the printed circuit board technology for its fabrication process, through which the microwave signals are communicated. Microwave components such as power dividers, couplers, filters, etc can be created using microstrip line. This paper aims on filter design with bandstop characteristics, using microstrip transmission line, with a Non-Periodic technique particularly using Defected Microstrip Structure to be operated in the C - Band frequency.
