Research on the Economic Benefit of Energy Storage System Works with Photovoltaic System Considering the Cost of Electricity

The energy storage system (ESS) works with the photovoltaic (PV) system is an important application scenario. This paper studies the economic benefits of ESS operation. Firstly, the calculation method of the electricity cost of the ESS is proposed, and then the optional discharge period of the ESS is determined according to the electricity price structure, further determined the operation strategy of the ESS. Secondly, the three-parameter empirical aging model of lithium battery is proposed, and the battery aging estimation method is obtained by combining the rainflow counting method. Finally, based on the net present value calculation, the economic calculation method of ESS is proposed. The analysis of the example shows the effectiveness of the economic calculation method, and the calculation results have certain reference value.
