Research on the Impact of Wind Power Integration on Power System Voltage Stability

The impact of wind power integration on power system voltage stability has received extensive attention recently. This paper analyzes the impact of wind power interconnected location and penetration rate on power system static voltage stability by static voltage stability indices. Besides, the impact of the increase of wind power penetration rate on power system transient voltage stability is analyzed through time domain simulation. The weak node of voltage stability is identified and its shunt capacitors capacity for reactive compensation is determined considering the minimum constraint of active power loss. This paper offers a certain guiding significance for the analysis of power system voltage stability with wind power integration and rational allocation of shunt capacitors at weak node for optimal reactive compensation.
