Abstract:
The design of a C-band (at 5.8 GHz) reflectarray antenna for nearfield focusing is presented. This work is motivated by the increasing interest in using reflectarray antennas for near-field applications such as wireless power transfer and RFID sensing. Simulation and measurement results are presented to show that the goal of achieving a focal point of about 10 to 12 λ away from the reflectarray antenna is met.
