Winners of the 2019 ICEAA - IEEE APWC Awards

The ICEAA - IEEE APWC conferences have established the ICEAA - IEEE APWC Awards to recognize the young scientists who have authored and orally presented the best papers at the ICEAA - IEEE APWC 2019 joint conferences in terms of content and impact on Electromagnetics. The persons eligible for these awards are young scientists aged not more than thirty-six as of June 3, 2019. The ICEAA - IEEE APWC Awards are administered by the ICEAA Scientific Committee. The ICEAA – IEEE APWC Best Paper Award was awarded to Orestis Christogeorgos for the paper "Design of fully-planar CSRR-based substrateintegrated waveguide circuits" co-authored by and M.-T. Passia, M. Nitas, T.V. Yioultsis, and Vinay Killamsetty for the paper "Exploiting the properties of metagratings for designing rectangular waveguide mode converters" and co-authored by A. Epstein. The announcement and presentation of the award were made at the ICEAA – IEEE APWC 2019 banquet on September 11, 2019, where the winner received a certificate and a prize of 400 Euro donated by the ICEAA Organizing Committee. The IEEE AP-S Industrial Initiatives Committee have established the 2019 ICEAA Industrial Engineering Paper Award to recognize the most innovative paper in terms of practical, industrial engineering related to the fields of antennas, electromagnetics and propagation. The 2019 ICEAA Industrial Engineering Paper Award is administered by the ICEAA Scientific Committee together with IEEE AP-S Industrial Initiatives Committee. The 2019 ICEAA Industrial Engineering Paper Award was awarded to Alejandro Niembro-Martin for the paper "New architecture for wireless 230V powered products based on isolated microstrip line" and co-authored by E. Dreina. The announcement and presentation of the award was made at the ICEAA – IEEE APWC 2019 banquet on September 11, 2019, where the winner received a certificate and a prize of 500 Euro donated by the IEEE AP-S Industrial Initiatives Committee.
