Spectroscopic Characterization of 3D Printed THz Rectangular Polymer Waveguides

In this paper, rectangular polymer waveguides for single-mode operation at 140 GHz are designed, simulated, and fabricated by 3D printing technology. The propagating mode is characterized by determining the attenuation constant and the effective refractive index of the waveguide using THz frequency-domain spectroscopy. Moreover, the change of the mode pattern with frequency is observed by performing transversal scans at the output of the waveguide.
