Wave energy potential in Veracruz state coast

The production of electrical energy has had significant changes worldwide, among these is the incursion of new sources of generation. From the ocean resources is the wave, which has generated new areas of opportunity in the environmental and industrial field. This article focuses on the analysis of the behavior of the energetic potential according to the parameters of the wave, that is of the parameters of significant height and energetic period, to estimate its wave potential. It was considered the model of the potential of an asymmetric body as an absorber of wave power. This work provides a general panorama of the behavior of wave energy, it was taken as a case study some points of the coast of the state of Veracruz, Mexico.
