Designing and Manufacturing of a Worst Case Communication Channel for Automotive Ethernet 1000BASE-T1

A worst case communication channel for automotive Ethernet 1000BASE-T1 is theoretically designed and physically built. In the future this channel can be used for qualification of electronic control units and testing system implementations. Simulations as well as measurements are presented, which show the appropriate design of the communication channel according to all differential mode requirements such as return loss, insertion loss, propagation delay and characteristic impedance.
