Design of an UHF POD Antenna and Its Efficiency Optimization by Genetic Algorithms

This work presents a process of designing a Printed-On-Display (POD) antenna which is optically transparent, based on the ITO (Indium-Tin-Oxide) material. For searching for highest efficiency of POD antenna, the Genetic Algorithms (GA) is applied as an optimization tool. After the GA process, the resultant simulated antenna model is realized on the glass. A POD antenna for receiving DVB-T digital TV signal (UHF band) is realized and demonstrated.
