Encouraging the Role of Women in the ICT Sector

The ICT sector in Spain has a serious lack of talent due to the scarcity of women who enrols STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Mathematics) careers. Action must be co-ordinately taken by both Public and Private actors in order to encourage the role of women in the ICT Sector. Apart from internal actions as establishing an Equality Plan, Informática El Corte Inglés (IECISA) organized, in cooperation with the Gobierno de Aragón (Spain), an open debate forum to better understand the situation and reach conclusions that could lead to an action plan. The conclusions are presented.
