MIMO Radar Transceiver Joint optimization Using Pre-information of Forward-Squint-Looking GMTI

The combination of multi-input multi-output (MIMO) technique and ground moving target indication (GMTI) is a practical solution to achieve swift and accurate detections. In this paper, a two-step detect process is introduced: the first step uses forward-squint-looking beam to get rough pre-information by dimension-reduction space time adaptive processing(STAP) within a short interval, after filtering out possible targets of interest at a relatively high false alarm rate; the second step based on the pre-information to make a transceiver joint design using cyclic optimization of transmit waveforms and receive filters in the side-looking mode, so as to maximize the output signal interference noise ratio(SINR). This process could superior the clutter suppression ability, thereby improve the moving target detecting performance.
