A Research of Digital Image-based Cognitive Learning Systems in Applications of Preventive Medicine-An Example of Redding Elementary School, San Francisco

Obesity issue in United States has become a common health problem. Not only is obesity an issue to adults, but also children age from 6 to 19 have now also been facing the same problem. The purpose of this study is to enlighten the children about the concept of healthy eating behavior by using the interface design of digital image, it could improve the cognitive performance of children for healthy diet. The process of digital image can be divided into algorithms with image processing, image display, and deconstruction of images. In order to provide an image with appropriate quality and deliver the correct information, the image semantics and its formation will be changed by different background and environment. The principal aim of this study is conducting multi-level surveys to identify the children's cognitive gap in image of food, and provides a useful reference for digital image designers by combining the physical and virtual interactions in the future.
