Excessive-emission vehicles real-time track matching algorithm based on road network topology and weights

The algorithm for excessive-emission vehicles track matching based on network topology and weights (NTWMA) is proposed in this paper to resolve the trajectory track matching problems of excessive-emission vehicles. The topological structure of the network is initially constructed based on the factor called breadth-first traversal. Then, by using road topological constraints to construct a set of adjacent candidate sections of trajectory track matching, the sum of distance, direction, and relative weight of each candidate road is considered as a solving condition. Finally, the optimal road section sequence is calculated by Dijkstra algorithm, and connect selected road section obtain track matching. The global positioning system data of 100 taxis in Beijing in 2016 are used to test the algorithm, then the findings are compared with the data from road network feature matching algorithm (RNFMA) and the trajectory contour matching algorithm (TCMA). The experimental results demonstrate that the matching accuracies of the two other algorithms are lower than 90% compared with that of the proposed algorithm. Furthermore, the matching precision of the proposed algorithm has good real-time performance. The algorithm is used to draw the vehicle trajectory in real-time on the project software platform.
