Research on optimization of Production Workshop Layout Based on Extension Particle Swarm optimization

In order to improve the production efficiency of the workshop and reduce the production cost. We establish a mathematical model of the equipment layout in the workshop and design the fitness function with penalty factor which is based on the minimum principle of logistics cost and the physical constraints of the workshop layout. We study the particle swarm optimization based on Extenics, and propose the matter-element model of particles. We use the correlation function to classify the particles Different update strategies are adopted for different grades of particles. Finally, the experimental results show that compared with the standard particle swarm optimization, extension particle swarm optimization is shorter in computation time and more likely to jump out of the local optimal solution.
