Study on the Optimization of Metering Characteristics of Water Flow Standard Device

The evaluation of the uncertainty of water flow standard device and the optimization of metering characteristics have been the key and difficult problems in the field of water flow measurement for many years. Based on the analysis of the structure and test process of the traditional water flow standard device, this paper points out the main problems of the existing evaluation method of uncertainty, and improves the measurement characteristics of the water flow standard device by using two optimization control methods: the new one-way commutation method and the pulse phase compensation method based on the wave trap technology; At the same time, the influence of device stability and flow stability on flow measurement uncertainty is also discussed. Finally, the static mass water flow standard device is taken as the experimental object, and uncertainty of flow measurement was compared and verified between the traditional water device and the flow device applying the optimized control method, the experimental results show that the extended uncertainty of the device with the optimized control method is 0.4% lower than that of the traditional device, and its value is 1/5 of the original extended uncertainty. Therefore, the optimization method proposed in this paper can effectively improve the measurement level of the flow device, which is worthy of further promotion and application.
